PARRJAZZ is a Not For Profit organisation set up and run by musicians, for musicians and music lovers. We support live music, both established and new and emerging artists, in the Liverpool City Region and facilitate music education opportunities.
PARRJAZZ is spread through a variety of venues and with a wide number of local, national and international guests.
Over the past few years we have worked closely with Liverpool venues; Studio 2-Parr Street, The Kazimier Stockroom , Phase One, Ma Boyles , The Hope St Hotel, The Music Room at the Philharmonic Hall, The Invisible Wind factory , The Jacaranda , Lounge 69, On Air and The Fashion Hub.
Parr Street itself is named after slave trader and banker Thomas Parr.
It is with some irony that we acknowledge the historical legacy in the name of Parrjazz considering that we promote music whose origin lies in the expression and protest of African Americans and people who were enslaved.
It is our intention always to book a diverse roster of artists and provide a platform for expression to an inclusive and equally diverse audience.
Your support is very much appreciated in helping us maintain occasional free entrance concerts alongside our ticketed events and in order to constantly strive to pay musicians a fair fee .With love and thanks PARRJAZZ X
