Parrjazz is delighted to announce our seventh MutantJazz event will take place at Liverpool’s Rough Trade venue on Hannover Street, April 25th, 2025, with doors opening at 7pm, closing time 11pm.

Mutant Jazz celebrates the emerging talent from Liverpool’s live Jazz Spectrum, exposing them to new audiences from the age of 14 years and upwards.

Mutant Jazz #7 will feature:

Elmss and her band – Elmss is a 21-year-old, South East London born, Liverpool-based, independent artist, who describes her music as soul/folk/electronic/whatever you want to call it. She grew up around the political sounds of artists like Gil Scott Heron and The Specials in her home, alongside the South London jazz/soul scene and the underground electronic clubs of London, that have all shaped the way she interacts with and makes music. She aims to only ever write about topics that are meaningful to her and make music that is an honest reflection of the everyday experience. In 2024, she released her second EP ‘minty’ and played at We Out Here Festival. She also founded a collective called CROSSTALK (@crosstalksounds) who put on monthly performance/jam events at The Carpet Shop in Peckham, with the intention of uplifting young musicians, and this year going on to do a radio show on Reprezent as well as curating a compilation album with the artists they have worked with.

P.S.M. - P.S.M. is an ever changing 8-piece exposé of heavy jazz fusion. Drawing from various influences across various genres they write music in only two languages - English and Welsh - expressing themselves however they see fit.

DJ Copious Notes will be spinning jazzy vinyl all night.
